Ornate Interiors were on site at The Majestic Hotel for twelve months, carrying out the restoration of the historic ornate plasterwork.historic ornate plasterwork. Much of the work took place in the restaurant area. A new beam, incorporating replica sunken soffits and returns, was manufactured to replace one that had collapsed. New cornices were also manufactured to match original features. Because the enrichments were so undercut, all egg and dart embellishments were manufactured and embedded on the cornice separately from the mould. In the snooker room, seven figurines and seven impost moulds were manufactured and installed. Repairs were also made to the ceilings and missing sections of plaster beams were reinstated. The lobby area and wcs and bedrooms throughout the building were supplied and fitted with a range of moulds taken from the Ornate Interiors standard range.
